✅ What I Built
Problem:
Users with non-VIP tickets couldn't apply to VIP-only side events - they were completely blocked.

Solution:
A manual request + approval system that lets users request access and admins review each request.

🧪 Ready to Test!
To test this feature:

Create a side event with allowedPriceTiers set to ["VIP"] or similar
Log in as a user with a non-VIP ticket to the main event
Try to apply → You'll see the "Request Access" button
Submit the request
As admin, view participants → See the orange badge
Approve the request → User can now pay and attend

🔧 Implementation Details
1. Database Schema ✅
Added three new fields to the tickets table:

tierOverrideRequested - Tracks if user requested manual access
tierOverrideApproved - Tracks admin approval status
tierOverrideNotes - Admin notes about the decision
2. Backend API ✅
Modified /api/tickets/apply endpoint to accept requestTierOverride parameter
When true, creates ticket with special flag instead of blocking
Skips payment URL generation (they need approval first)
Application stays in pending status for admin review
3. User Experience ✅
Application Form:

Detects when user doesn't meet VIP tier requirements
Shows orange "Request Access (Manual Approval)" button instead of blocking
Submits request with special flag
Shows success message: "Your request has been submitted for admin review"
Redirects to dashboard where they can track status
4. Admin Experience ✅
Participants Page:

Tier override requests show orange badge: "Tier Override Requested"
Once approved, shows green badge: "Tier Override Approved"
Easy to identify requests that need review
Existing approve/reject workflow works seamlessly

User Flow:
User tries to apply for VIP-only side event without VIP ticket
Sees "Request Access" button (orange, with alert icon)
Clicks button → Request submitted
Receives confirmation message
Waits for admin approval
Admin Flow:
Goes to event participants page
Sees orange badge "Tier Override Requested" on certain applications
Reviews the request
Approves using existing "Approve Application" button
System creates payment invoice
User gets notified and can proceed to pay
